We still don’t have any power so we’re living by candlelight and using fans. It gets hot real fucking quick with no AC, lemme tell you.
I’m currently struggling to read City of Bones in the dark to preserve laptop battery. One off neighbors is sitting outside, singing and playing guitar. I don’t know her and can’t tell what the words are, but her voice is pretty.

((the storm’s actually moving pretty fast so we’re not worried, it’ll pass soon. my mom’s tornado reaction is to ignore the weather report and go outside, look at the sky, and let her southern heart decide if we’re in danger or not. this time she says no.))
