guys the disney fandom just took over a text post
so the girl who made the ”feminist makeup tutorial” PARODY video is getting shit for alleged cissexism. she didn’t intentionally leave anyone out, and she’s so apologetic and sad and never wanted to hurt anyone and so willing to be told how to be more aware and correct, and instead she’s just being attacked because tumblr doesn’t let anyone ever make mistakes or learn/grow because tumblr is the most narrow-minded rage-filled self-righteous mob i’ve ever seen and i am just so angry on her behalf what is wrONG WITH PEOPLE
i know mads mikkelsen is a great hannibal and everything, but when silence of the lambs first came out at the cinema, anthony hopkins would go to see it and when hannibal makes the disgusting slurping sound after describing how he ate a census taker (which was improvised!), hopkins would slide into an empty seat next to somebody and make that noise right in their ear and just frighten the life out of everyone
and i just feel like everyone needs to know this story

blindly hating/shaming/bullying people in positions of privilege is just as wrong as blindly hating/shaming/bullying victims of institutionalized oppression!!! it’s bad, and it’s hurtful, and it doesn’t help the progression of rights or the correction of social injustices!! all it does is give people an excuse to be mean!!!!!!

I’m sitting on my bed for the third day in a row.
I’m waiting for 5PM to hit so that I can finally close my 3DS. I’ve been ‘tanning’ my avatar in the latest entry of Nintendo’s long running Animal Crossing series, New Leaf. I put ‘tanning’ in scare quotes because the method doesn’t match my intention. Yes, I’m doing the the thing the game calls tanning, but my objective isn’t just darkening my avatar’s skin tone, it’s being able to see in the screen what I see in the mirror
